Karen Adkisson Obituary: Karen May Adkisson, a beloved resident of Prague, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 10, 2024, at the age of 71, surrounded by the comfort of her home.

She came into this world on November 4, 1952, in Seminole, Oklahoma, as the cherished daughter of Edward Sidney and Lucille Miranda (Harrelson) Quary.

Karen graduated from Prague High School in 1971, laying the foundation for a life of purpose and dedication. She found fulfillment in her work, spending nearly 15 years contributing her skills and talents to the Wrangler Plant in Prague before embracing retirement in 2002. Alongside her professional endeavors, Karen found solace and joy in attending Garden Grove Missionary Baptist Church, where she formed meaningful connections with her son and his growing family.

On July 29, 1975, Karen embarked on a journey of love and companionship, joining hands in marriage with Bob Adkisson. Together, they shared 37 years of unwavering devotion, weathering life’s ups and downs side by side until Bob’s passing in 2012. Throughout their years together, Prague remained the heart of their existence, providing a nurturing environment where they raised their beloved son, Brian, and created countless cherished memories.

A memorial service is scheduled to take place at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at the Garden Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Prague.
