Jim Koontz Obituary: James “Jim” Koontz, a resident of Carlisle, Pennsylvania, and Director of Facilities at Cumberland Valley School District has sadly passed away.

James “Jim” Koontz was a native of Duncansville, Pennsylvania, and he went to Central High School and graduated with the class of 1991. He attended Delaware Valley University from 1991 to 1995 where he studied Agronomy and Environmental Science, Turf, and Turfgrass Management.

Jim was an Assistant Golf Course Superintendent at Penn National Golf Club and Inn from 1996 to 2000 in Fayetteville, Pennsylvania, and Grounds Supervisor from 2000 to 2005.

He was an educator who served the Cumberland Valley School district in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania to the best of his abilities. He was an Assistance Facilities Director from 2005 to 2012 and recently as a Director of Facilities.

He made such an impact on so many and brought great joy and big smiles everywhere he went. Jim Koontz was a supporter of Montanas.
