Stabbing in Clonakilty: Assault of a man in his 20s in Clonakilty’s Sand Quay, a man in his 30s has been taken into custody by Gardaí. Around 11:30 p.m., Gardaí arrived at the scene in response to a report of a male victim of assault.

The male patient received non-life-threatening medical attention at Cork University Hospital after being hurt. The officials withheld the identities of the victim and the suspect.

According to a Gardaí spokesperson, a man in his 30s was apprehended and is being held under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at a Gardaí station in West Cork. The Divisional Scenes of Crime section is currently conducting a technical inspection while the site is still maintained.

There are still investigations underway.
