Ira Thomas Dowda Obituary: Ira Thomas Dowda, aged 62, of Powder Springs, Georgia, passed away on March 30, 2024. He was born on June 22, 1961, to Clara Elizabeth Dowda and the late Robert Ernest Dowda.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Vivian Leigh Dowda, and his loving children, Justin Dowda (Krysten) and Blake Dowda (Samantha). He will be dearly missed by his adoring grandchildren, Skylar Dowda, Braxton Dowda, Clara Dowda, Brantley Dowda, Victoria Dowda, and Emberlynn Dowda. Ira is also survived by his mother, Clara Elizabeth Dowda, his sisters, Elaine Price, Judy Newman (Mike), Christie Easterwood (Lewis), and his brother, Wayne Dowda (Ann).

Visitation: Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at Hightower’s Memorial Chapel on Thursday, April 4, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.

Funeral: A funeral service will follow in the Chapel at 2:00 p.m., officiated by Shae Tallent. Pallbearers will include Justin Dowda, Thomas Ray, Greg Wizner, Blake Dowda, Tracy Byram, and Tim Jackson.
