Shamar Webb Obituary: Shamar Webb, a resident of Laurel, Maryland, and a sophomore at Mount St. Mary’s University, has sadly passed away. The university announced his death in a statement on social media, mentioning that he passed away at home near the end of winter break. Shamar Webb was an active participant in the Criminal Justice Student Association and weightlifting club.

The specific circumstances surrounding Shamar Webb’s cause of death have not been disclosed publicly at the time of this report. According to a statement released by Laurel Upward Sports, Shamar Webb passed away in his bed at home on Thursday morning. Although he was supposed to return to college that day, for reasons currently unknown, he did not wake up.

Shamar Webb, a native of Laurel, Maryland, was a graduate of St. Vincent Pallotti High School Class of 2022. As a sophomore and a criminal justice major at Mount St. Mary’s University in Emmitsburg, he actively contributed to the Mount community by playing on the club men’s soccer team and participating in the Criminal Justice Student Association and weightlifting club.

Shamar, having played in all three of Laurel Upward Sports programs from an early age through 8th grade, moved on to play high-school soccer at Pallotti High in Laurel. He was baptized at FBCL in 2018. In his sophomore year, he enjoyed playing soccer for Mount Saint Mary’s University.

A celebration of Shamar’s life is scheduled for next Friday, with a viewing at 10 a.m. and a service at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Laurel. Additionally, a Mount Remembrance event is being planned to honor Shamar’s memory. The community mourns the loss of a vibrant young individual and offers condolences to Shamar Webb’s family and friends.
