Brenda G. Adler Obituary

Brenda G. Adler Obituary: Brenda Adler, age 73, passed away on Thursday, December 14, 2023, at her home surrounded by family. She was born on September 20, 1950, in Portage, Wisconsin, the daughter of William and Lois (Gay) Bescup.

Anyone who knew Brenda could easily attest to her selfless nature, always wanting the best for others. Her beauty radiated through her gorgeous smile and from her sweetheart. Whether you were family, a friend, or a stranger on the street, Brenda made you feel special. She left a positive impact on anyone she met and her love and kindness knew no bounds.

After graduating from Portage High, Brenda received a degree in interior decorating, where she followed her passion in helping others make a space their own. Brenda had a talent for taking a vision and bringing it to life, whether it was decorating, creating something new, or fixing something old. She also had a knack for cooking and baking and passed down many family recipes as well as creations of her own. However, no matter how closely you follow her recipe, it never seems to turn out quite as good as when Brenda made it.

In addition to all of these passions, Brenda also had a career as a dental assistant. She started working at Adler Dental DDS, where she met her husband, Dennis. They married in 1996 and made a home in Verona, WI. Brenda and Dennis enjoyed regular trips to Milwaukee, going to the movies in the winter months, and nice dinners around Madison and the Wisconsin Dells. They frequented Door County and eventually purchased a home there that became known as “the North House.” Brenda’s children and their families would visit often and some of her most cherished memories were made there.

Brenda’s greatest love was her family. She always let it be known how important you were to her. Her very favorite role was being a Grammy to her two grandchildren, Stella and Henry. She felt so much joy anytime she was around them.

Brenda was as strong as they come and she met any challenge in life head on. Her diagnosis of ALS was no different and she handled every moment with positivity, grace, and a sense of humor.

Brenda is survived by her husband, Dennis; her children, Adam (Rachel) Graap and Sara (Kayla) Graap; grandchildren, Stella and Henry; her brothers, Robert (Jane) Bescup and Jim (Stacey) Bescup; sister, Angela Gray; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Lois; and brother, Michael Bescup.

Thank you to Good People who provided in-home care for Brenda throughout the last year of her life. A special thanks to Zuzanna and Jane for dedicating their time so selflessly to Brenda and the entire family.

Thank you to the staff at Agrace for all of their support and care throughout this difficult time.

A Visitation will be held from 4 pm to 7 pm on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 220 Enterprise Dr., Verona. A private burial will take place at St. Andrew Catholic Cemetery.
