Dammit Brandy Death: A 36-year-old woman died and a man was injured in a shooting Tuesday night at a south Charlotte home. The deceased victim has been identified as Dammit Brandy Cox. According to Charlotte-Mecklenburg police reports, Dammit Brandy Sheree Cox passed away from injuries sustained in the shooting.
CMPD officers responded to a call on Meadowridge Drive off Carmel Road around 9:15 p.m. on Tuesday. According to the police, a gunshot originated from inside a residence. Upon investigation, they discovered the lifeless body of 36-year-old Brandy Cox, while a man was transported to the hospital with severe injuries.
At the scene, a suspect was identified and apprehended. The tragic shooting deeply saddened the neighborhood residents. While investigators have not disclosed many details, public records indicate that the man residing at the location of the incident corresponds to the individual mentioned in social media posts from two days prior.
