Samantha Susick Car Accident: Samantha Susick, 23, was driving a black Ford truck killed in a Shiawassee County crash and heading eastbound on Garrison Road when she did not stop at the stop sign.

The Shiawassee County Sheriff’s Office confirmed with 6 News that the crash happened around 2 p.m. on March 16 in the town of Durand at the intersection of Garrison Road and Byron Road.

Meanwhile, a GMC Acadia, driven by a man and a woman, was traveling southbound on Byron Road and collided with the truck.

Susick, from Commerce Township, was pronounced dead at the scene and the driver and passenger of the Acadia were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Samantha Rose Susick was born on May 18, 2000, to loving parents Margaret Cassar and Daniel Susick. She departed from this world on March 16, 2024, at the age of 23, leaving behind a trail of cherished memories and a legacy of love.

Samantha Rose Susick, a Commerce, Michigan native, worked as a personal trainer and was employed at AIS Construction Equipment. She pursued her education at Oakland University, where she likely honed her skills and passion for fitness and wellness.

Samantha was a beloved sister to her siblings Leo (30), Noah (28), and Ava (26), and a devoted girlfriend to Erik Wilkie. She was also a cherished member of a large extended family, with dozens of aunts, uncles, and hundreds of cousins who adored her.

In her 23 years, Samantha touched the lives of many with her warmth, kindness, and infectious laughter. She had a vibrant personality and a heart full of love for those around her. Her passing leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew her.

Friends and loved ones are invited to pay their respects at the Watkins Brothers MacDonald Chapel, located at 315 North Michigan Avenue, Howell Michigan, on Thursday, March 21st, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM.

A Memorial Service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, March 22nd, at 11:00 AM.
