Ryan Duffy Obituary: Former Mississippi State baseball player Ryan Duffy tragically passed away in a car accident on Tuesday, December 19, 2023.

Duffy graduated from Barron Collier High School and received a scholarship to attend Mississippi State

Duffy played as a catcher and was one of the best players during his high school days. He earned all-county and All-Southwest Florida All-Star Team honors and was named the Team MVP.

He was just 37-years-old. Duffy redshirted his first year in 2006 but played for the Bulldogs as a catcher or designated hitter through 2010. His best game was perhaps in his final season, when tallied three home runs against Jackson State.

The Mississippi State Baseball Family mourns the passing of Diamond Dawg Ryan Duffy.
