Malibu Canyon Car Accident: A tragic incident unfolded on Wednesday as a vehicle veered off the road in the Malibu hills, resulting in the loss of one individual, authorities reported.

The fatal crash occurred around 5:30 p.m. on Malibu Canyon Road near Adamson Flat, situated less than two miles north of Pacific Coast Highway, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The collision prompted the closure of traffic in both directions of Malibu Canyon Road, a narrow two-lane roadway traversing the Santa Monica Mountains, connecting Calabasas with Malibu and Pacific Coast Highway.

Winding through the hills, the road presents challenges, with steep drop-offs into the canyon below. Over the years, this passage has sadly been the scene of several fatal accidents.
