Jayden Munson and Jaylan Jackson: 2 killed in Mount Holly shooting

Mount Holly shooting: Jayden Dae’Shun Munson, 19, and Jaylan Marray Jackson, 19, were killed in a shooting Thursday night in Mount Holly on Dec, 14.

Mount Holly Police say they got reports of gunfire around 8 p.m. near Piedmont Avenue and Dodge Street. When they arrived with Gaston County EMS, they located two deceased victims in a car.

Two males have been identified Friday as the victims of the Thursday night double homicide on Piedmont Avenue and Dodge Street.

In the evening hours of Thursday, December 14, 2023, at approximately 8:11 PM, the Mount Holly Police Department’s 911 Center received multiple calls from concerned citizens reporting gunshots in the vicinity of Piedmont Avenue and Dodge Street.

On Friday afternoon, officers identified the victims as Jayden Dae’Shun Munson, 19, and Jaylan Marray Jackson, 19, both of Concord.

Investigators told Queen City News they are going door to door searching for information and are also walking around door to door in the streets surrounding Piedmont Avenue and Dodge Street in Mount Holly.
