Jasmyne Kite Obituary: Wilson girl died from flu at 9

Jasmyne Kite Obituary: Jasmyne Elean Tillery-Kite, 9, of Wilson, passed away from flu on December 17, 2023, at UNC Medical Children’s Hospital.

Jasmyne Tillery-Kite originally from Beaufort, was born on June 5, 2014, to Jerome Tillery and Megan Kite. Jasmyne was a sweet and loving girl who would be missed by all who knew her. Jasmyne attended school at Wells Elementary School in Wilson, NC. Jasmyne was a Jr. member of Girl Scout Troop 127, which she loved. She enjoyed basketball, volleyball, soccer, and gymnastics.

Jasmyne is survived by her father, Jerome Tillery, and mother, Megan Kite of Wilson; her big sister, Mckensey Tillery-Kite and baby brother, Drew Tillery-Kite; maternal grandfather, Jay Kite of Morehead City; paternal grandmother, Beth Tillery-Meadows of Morehead City.

She was received in death by her maternal grandmother, Mary Kite; paternal grandfather, Rodney Meadows; Great-grandpa, Fred Tillery; and great-granddaddy, Jerome Jerry Meadows.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, December 23, 2023, at Glad Tidings Church in Morehead City. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Morehead City.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 Friday at Noe-Brooks Funeral Home of Morehead City.
