Ellen Barbee Obituary, Waverly, KY, passed away at 73

Ellen Barbee Obituary: Ellen Barbee, aged 73, of Waverly, KY, peacefully passed away on Easter Sunday, March 31, 2024, at Lucy Smith King Care Center in Henderson. Born on December 1, 1950, in Union County, she was the beloved daughter of the late Francis and Dorothy Buckman.

Ellen was known as the co-owner and operator of Roy’s Upholstery in Morganfield. An enthusiastic supporter of the University of Kentucky, she was an avid fan of the Wildcats. Ellen found solace in working on jigsaw puzzles, but her greatest joy came from spending quality time with her cherished friends and family.

Funeral Service

A service to honor Ellen’s life will take place at 10 AM on Thursday, April 4, 2024, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Waverly, KY, with Fr. David Johnson officiating. She will be laid to rest in St. Peter’s Cemetery in Waverly.

Visitation hours will be held from 4 PM to 8 PM on Wednesday at Whitsell Funeral Home in Morganfield, with a rosary service commencing at 7:30 PM. Additional visitation will be held from 8:30 AM until the time of service on Thursday at the funeral home.
