Barbara Rush Dies, Golden Globe-winning actress passed away At 97
Barbara Rush Obituary: Sad to report on the passing of actress Barbara Rush at the age of 97.
Barbara became a part of Hollywood in 1950. By 1954, she won a Golden Globe as “Most Promising Newcomer” for her work in the sci-fi film, “It Came From Outer Space.“
She starred opposite Dean Martin in “The Young Lions” and worked with Paul Newman in “The Young Philadelphians.” She was in the Rat Pack film, “Robin and the 7 Hoods.” On television, she appeared on “Peyton Place,” “All My Children,” “Flamingo Road” and “7th Heaven.” She was even a villain on the old “Batman” TV series.
I remember Barbara because, in my early years, I worked with her daughter, Fox News senior correspondent Claudia Cowan. When Barbara came to visit, she was right at home, sitting in our little newsroom. She was always very kind.
