17-year-old girl dies in Long Beach shooting

According to authorities, the incident took place at approximately 8:25 p.m. on March 26 near 11th Street and Lewis Avenue. Law enforcement responded to the area following reports of gunfire.

Upon arrival, officers discovered a female victim with a gunshot wound to her upper body. Emergency services promptly transported her to a nearby hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries on Saturday.

Long Beach Police stated that the girl was walking along the street when she was approached by one or more suspects prior to the shooting.
