Thomas Moran Obituary: Allegany-Limestone Alumnus Thomas Moran of Olean, New York State has sadly passed away. He died on Monday 18th December 2023 at the age of 23 after a tragic accident at his residence.

Thomas Moran’s Birth and Education

Thomas Moran and Trisha (Peck) Moran’s son Tommy was born in Olean on February 1, 2000. He received Magna Cum Laude honors after graduating from Allegany-Limestone in 2018 and continuing his education at Alfred State College. Tommy received an Associate’s Degree in Electrical Construction and Maintenance Electrician along with the Sigma Tau Epsilon certificate of Academic Distinction. His work history includes the years 2020–2022 when he worked as a maintenance electrician at Lidestri Foods in Rochester. After that, he went back to Allegany and has been an electrician for Olean since 2022.

Anyone who met Tommy could feel the electrifying energy radiating from him. He was adored by all because he could charm the socks off anyone he met. Through his unfaltering will, Tommy radiated an air of self-assurance that motivated others around him. All who were fortunate enough to know him were profoundly affected by his extraordinary gift for making others feel loved and safe.

Tommy is survived by his parents, Thomas and Trisha Moran; his sister, Madison L. Moran and her fiancé Aaron Pula; grandparents, Edward and Patricia Moran, Janet and Terry Shaw, Richard and Linda Peck; aunts and uncles, Gregory (Brenda) Moran, Teresa (Patrick) Hurley, Paul (Michelle) Shaw, Tammy (Travis) McGuire, Jen (Jason) Miller, and Jacquie Barber; his loving companion, Shana Bebko; cousins, Tyler (Kelsey) Barber, Evan (Jacob) Moran, Conner Moran, Mikayla Miller and Caden Miller; and his beloved dogs, Toby and Kona.

He was predeceased by his paternal great-grandparents, Quido and Louise Ramire, and aunt, Jolie P. (Eaton) Hammond. The family will receive friends at the Guenther Funeral Home, Inc., 1303 E. State Street, Olean, on Friday from 3-7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday (December 23, 2023) at 10 a.m. at St. Bonaventure Church in Allegany, Fr. Michael Reyes will officiate. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery, Allegany.
