Ted Shanks Hunting Accident: An 18-year-old boy reportedly died in a tragic accident in the Ted Shanks Conservation area on Sunday, December 10, 2023.

Law enforcement agencies in Pike County, Missouri are investigating a deadly hunting accident at Ted Shanks Conservation Area Sunday. According to reports, an 18-year-old male passed away in the accident that occurred at Ted Shanks Conservation Area in Ashburn, MO.

Multiple individuals who witnessed the tragic event were left traumatized. A local who prefers to remain anonymous said the teenager was participating in a hunting game involving several participants. He was accidentally swing-shot during the game.

He was pronounced deceased by the EMS. Prayers have been called for the family of the teenager who officials identified as an 18-year-old senior at a local high school.
