Evan Mallatt Obituary: A 27-year-old man has died following a deadly car accident that happened on Sunday, the 17th of December 2023. The victim has been identified as Evan Mallatt. According to reports, Evan Mallatt, a longtime resident of Brandon, South Dakota passed away from injuries sustained in the motor vehicle accident.

How did the crash happen?

Mallatt allegedly drove his 1997 Chevrolet CK 107 westbound on 272nd Street and failed to stop at the T-intersection with 480th Avenue. Subsequently, the vehicle became airborne and collided with the embankment. Mallatt was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing a seatbelt.

Alcohol use is under investigation. The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating the crash. All information released so far is only preliminary. The Highway Patrol is an agency of the South Dakota Department of Public Safety.
