Initial report – Corridor G (U.S. 119) was shut down on Wednesday night following a multi-vehicle collision with injuries in the Alum Creek vicinity, according to information from Metro 911 dispatchers. The incident was reported after 6:30 p.m. near the Kesari Drive intersection, close to the Kanawha/Lincoln/Boone County border.

A minimum of one individual has been transported to the hospital, and both the northbound and southbound lanes are blocked in that region. Dispatchers received a report indicating that someone had been thrown from a vehicle, with another person trapped in the wreckage.

Initially, dispatchers were informed of involvement from two vehicles, but our on-site team reported that there seemed to be multiple vehicles involved. The West Virginia State Police, the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office, and the Alum Creek Volunteer Fire Department are all present at the scene. The investigation is being handled by WVSP troopers, and additional details are currently unavailable.
