Peyton Shaw Car Accident-Obituary: Waverly girl, 17, died in Newfield

Peyton Shaw Car Accident-Obituary: 17-year-old, Peyton Shaw from Waverly has died after a crash involving three vehicles on West Danby Road in Newfield.

The crash occurred on Tuesday, the 12th of December 2023. At approximately 12:50 pm, New York State Police at Ithaca responded to the crash on West Danby Road near Piper Road in the town of Newfield.

The passenger of the Toyota Yaris, 17-year-old Peyton C. Shaw, of Waverly, NY was pronounced deceased on scene. The operator of the Toyota Yaris, 18-year-old Dale T. Beeman, of Spencer, NY was transported by helicopter to Robert Packer to be treated for serious injuries.

The operator of the Jeep Patriot, 40-year-old Aristopher D. Bo, of Waverly, NY, and the operator of the Cadillac CT6, 29-year-old Stephen M. Lucente of Spencer, NY were checked out on scene by EMS but not transported to local hospitals.
