Peter Strube Obituary: Peter D. Strube passed away peacefully on Monday, December 11, 2023. He was a retired Lieutenant Colonel, CRNA, assistant professor, board preparation expert, entrepreneur, and professional speaker, Peter Strube embodied a spirit of service, knowledge, and entrepreneurship.

Peter D. Strube was a CRNA who graduated from St. Mary’s University School of Anesthesia in 2006 with a master’s degree. His undergraduate degree is from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa. He was awarded the Doctor of Nurse Anesthesia (DNAP) in June 2017 and completed an MBA in December 2020.

Lieutenant Colonel Strube is retired from the United States Army Nurse Corps.  Dr. Strube has mobilized and deployed four times during current military operations which includes service in both Iraq and Afghanistan.

Peter is the Assistant Program Director at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh CRNA Program. Peter owns and operates Trollway Anesthesia which covers several critical access hospitals.

He has authored several professional articles and training programs and speaks professionally both nationally and internationally. Peter also tutors at-risk Nurse Anesthesia Residents on their anesthesia boards. He has been elected to serve on the Wisconsin State Association Board and is currently the AANA Region 3 Director.

He has served his community as a member of the Mount Horeb Board of Education and is a Commissioner on the Dane County Ethics Board.
