Lauren Worley Car Accident: Patrick County HS senior critically injured

Lauren Worley Car Accident: A Woolwine woman suffered serious injuries following a tragic car accident that happened last night. The victim has been identified as Patrick County High School senior Lauren Worley. According to reports, Lauren Worley of Woolwine, Virginia is in a critical condition after she was involved in a head-on collision.

Patrick County High School released the following statement:

“There will be no dress-up day (Favorite Holiday Character) tomorrow or Tuesday. Cougar Nation – To harness all that holiday cheer & positive thoughts from our final dress-up day, we will instead send all of our thoughts and prayers to our senior Lauren Worley and her family. Cougars Care!!!”

She is in critical condition with severe head trauma amongst a laundry list of other injuries. Lauren was a passenger involved in the tragic head-on accident. No further information was mentioned. The details surrounding the accident were not stated.

She still has a long battle ahead of her and we will be watching Brain swelling very closely over the next several days. She is still critical but the Nero surgeons were optimistic which gives us hope.”

Woolwine is an unincorporated community in northern Patrick County, Virginia, United States. The western terminus of State Route 40 is here, at State Route 8. The community lies in the Rocky Knob American Viticultural Area.
