Keisha Nash Death, Obituary: Keisha Nash Whitaker, an actor and producer who was married to actor Forest Whitaker for more than 20 years, has died at 51.

Keisha Nash’s cause of death: She has died following a battle with anorexia.

Her 25-year-old daughter, True Whitaker, shared the news in her Instagram Story on Wednesday. She posted photos of her mother when she was younger and included the message, “Goodbye mommy. I love you 4ever and beyond.”

The Oscar-winning actor and the former model raised three daughters together: Autumn, 32, Sonnet, 27, and True, 25. The former couple were married for 22 years.

Forest Whitaker and Keisha Nash first met on the set of the 1994 film Blown Away after she was cast to play Whitaker’s character’s girlfriend. Whitaker proposed the following year and the couple married in 1996 in Montego Bay, Jamaica.

Forest filed for divorce from Keisha in 2018, citing irreconcilable differences in his petition to the court.

Keisha Nash was born in Boston and worked as a model, actress, film producer, and entrepreneur.

She was once signed to Elite Model Management and Ford Models and was Tommy Hilfiger’s first African-American model.
