Brian Camp Obituary: Douglasville GA, Retired Lt. Brian Camp of the Douglas County Sheriffs Department passed away on Friday, October 27, 2023.

Brian Camp was a native of Winston, Georgia where he spent his early life before moving to Douglasville, Georgia where he lived until the time of his death. He was married to his wife, Ashlie Hope Camp who needed all the love and support at this time.

Brian departed from the Department only a few years ago after having served for more than thirty years and retiring as a Lieutenant. When I was still working there in the late 2010s, he was working in the Training Division. “Brian Camp and the Georgia River Band” was a band that was well-known across Northwest Georgia. He was also a well-known singer and songwriter. He was an ardent fisherman.

A heart attack may have occurred when he was cutting wood on his property, according to the reports that have been distributed.
