Ronaldo Valdez Death-Obituary: Veteran film and television actor Ronaldo Valdez died on Sunday, December 17. He was 76 years old. Ronaldo Valdez was the father of singer-comedian Janno Gibbs and singer-actress Melissa Gibbs.

Ronald James Dulaca Gibbs (November 27, 1947 — December 17, 2023), popularly known by his on-screen name Ronaldo Valdez (Tagalog: [ɾɔˈnɐldɔ bɐlˈdɛs]), was a Filipino film and television actor whose career spanned for almost five decades.

He was married to Maria Fe Gibbs. Valdez started his earlier career as a leading man and was known for portraying paternal roles and antagonists in both TV and film. He was also the first KFC Filipino Colonel.

He was discovered by Dolphy in the mid-1960s before doing many films in the ’70s, where he gained popularity playing important father roles, and rich father figures. He was notable to new audiences in shows like Los Bastardos in 2018-2019 and the series 2 Good 2 Be True in 2022-2023.
