Kevin Galvin Kansas City Death: The Kansas City Fire Department’s recently retired fire chief was found dead Wednesday. Prayers have been called for the family of Kevin Galvin following his tragic demise. According to reports, Kevin Galvin died from an apparent suicide following a long battle with depression.

Kevin Galvins’ older sister who announced the tragic event wrote; My little brother Kevin Galvin passed away yesterday, Just retired as Chief of KCFD. I’m devastated… he had so much going for him. At least he’s partying with mom Rita Hurley Galvin Moore & dad William Galvin now … I have no words to express the pain. The Galvin 5 is now 4 Fuck that.

A mental crisis awareness has been called for by the family of Kevin and the entire Kansas City, Missouri community members following the incident. Kevin was described as a man who dedicated his life to firefighting. Following retirement, Kevin enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Kevin was a brother, father, fire Chief, and friend to numerous people.
