Joseph Sawicki & Ryan Piazza killed in motorcycle accident

Joseph Sawicki Obituary: Joseph Sawicki & Ryan Piazza were killed following a pedestrian-motorcycle accident in South Buffalo on Saturday.

At approximately 11:30 a.m., police responded to the scene of South Park Avenue and Aldrich Place, for a reported accident involving a pedestrian and motorcycle, according to a city spokesperson.

The motorcycle operator, identified as 20-year-old Joseph Sawicki, was traveling southbound on South Park when he struck 33-year-old Ryan Piazza of West Seneca.

Piazza died at the scene, while Sawicki later died at ECMC.

Joseph Sawicki went to Burgard Vocational High School and lived in Buffalo, New York. He was in a relationship with Angel Miga.

Ryan Louis Piazza was born on November 11, 1990, in West Seneca. Ryan was a vibrant man who believed in not judging a book by its cover. He always reminded his friends to embrace the joy of life and find laughter even in the toughest times. Ryan had a passion for boxing and music.

Ryan leaves behind a proud legacy as the loving and devoted father of Dominic and Lucy (Morgan Willard). He was the cherished son of James (Jill) Piazza, and Trish (Charlie) Haier. Loving stepson of Laura Marks. Ryan was a brother to Jeffrey Ellis, Charlie Haier Cody Haier, and Riley Piazza. He was also the devoted boyfriend of Amanda Rose Obrien (Annabell and Aaliyah).

Ryan Piazza Obituary & Funeral: The family will receive friends on Saturday from 3-7 PM and Sunday from 11 AM-3 PM at the (Orchard Park Chapel) AMIGONE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 6170 W. Quaker Street (Rt. 21, near Rt 219), where a Funeral Service will be held on Monday at 11 AM.
