Cutty Sark DLR stabbing

Cutty Sark DLR stabbing: Several authorities are currently conducting investigations into a tragic incident that happened today on the Docklands Light Railway (DLR) en route to the Bank. Reports indicate that an individual was stabbed amid a confrontation involving a young group.

In response to the situation, the Cutty Sark DLR station in Greenwich has been closed, with a noticeable presence of police cars and ambulances outside the station. The severity of the incident has prompted a swift and comprehensive response from emergency services and law enforcement.

Earlier this week, on Wednesday, December 6, a man kicked and attempted to stab an individual seated on a DLR train after a verbal altercation. Wearing a balaclava, the assailant left the train following the incident. British Transport Police (BTP) issued an appeal to identify the individual captured in CCTV footage linked to the event.

According to BTP, the man entered the carriage at Blackwall Station around 9:20 pm, verbally confronted the seated victim, physically assaulted him by kicking, and then brandished a concealed knife, making a rapid motion toward the victim, narrowly avoiding a stabbing.

Subsequently, the attacker donned a balaclava before disembarking at Westferry Station. Fortunately, the victim escaped unharmed. Officers believe the individual in the released CCTV image may possess information crucial to their investigation.

BTP urges anyone with knowledge or recognition of the individual to contact them via text at 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40, referencing case number 58 of 07/12/2023. Alternatively, anonymous tips can be provided to Crimestoppers at 0800 555 111.
