Bryant Hayman Obituary: Waycross GA, Cause Of Death
Bryant Hayman Obituary: Hoboken and Waycross, GA communities are sending prayers to Morgan Thomas Hayman as she mourns her husband who passed away suddenly. 31-year-old John “Bryant” Hayman, 31 died unexpectedly Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2023, at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL following a longtime illness.
Born and raised in Waycross, he spent his early years there. He and his spouse, Morgan, had settled in Brantley County in 2019. He worked with Living Carbon as a Forester for the Carbon Project. Bryant was a four-year starter for the Gator Football and Baseball teams and a part of the Ware County High School class of 2011.
Bryant won the MVP Award, All-Region honors twice, Most Outstanding Baseball Player, and All-State honors during his final year at Ware County High School. Following high school, he played baseball for the Blazers for four years at Valdosta State University, where he excelled and won numerous awards. After that, he signed with the Minnesota Twins as a free agent. He graduated from Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College (ABAC) with a bachelor’s degree in forestry following his baseball career.
Despite being proud of all of his achievements, he never lost his humility. Family members recall him as a baseball enthusiast, a spontaneous traveler, someone who could locate independently owned coffee shops across the nation, someone who enjoyed playing baseball with “his boys” (dogs), someone who enjoyed hunting ducks and turkey, and someone who coached and mentored young men who played baseball. He loved his family and the Lord above all. He loved Christmas the most of all the seasons.
He had previously worked with the Youth Group, attended the Men’s Sunday School Class, and was an active member of Oak Hill Baptist Church. An infant kid, an infant sibling, and Bryant’s maternal and paternal grandparents preceded him in death.
In addition to his parents, John Wesley Hayman and Heather Griffin Hayman of Waycross, his brother and sister-in-law, Tanner and Ashley Wilson of Nahunta, his niece, Sara Kate Wilson, and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins, he is survived by his wife of four years, Morgan Thomas Hayman of Hoboken, and a son, Charlie Ferrell Hayman, his “Boys,” Myers and Ozzie.
