Anita Allen Obituary: Waterford, Women died at 83

Anita Allen Obituary: Anita Louise Allen, 83, of Waterford, died Sunday, Dec. 10, 2023, at Lawrence + Memorial Hospital in New London.

She was born in Providence, R.I., on July 10, 1940, the daughter of Anthony and Lena Iacampo. She married William Allen on May 5, 1962, at St. Joseph Church in West Warwick, R.I.

Mrs. Allen had been employed as an Administrative Assistant at Connecticut College in New London. She was a communicant of St. Joseph Church in New London.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, William Allen III (Kimberly); daughter Laurie Allen of Bradenton, Fla.; and sister Arlene Baldaia (David) of Hendersonville, N.C.

Calling hours are from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 17, at the Thomas L. Neilan & Sons East Lyme Funeral Home, 48 Grand Street, Niantic. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, in St. Joseph Church, followed by interment in Elm Grove Cemetery, Mystic.
