Akul Dhawan UIUC Death: 18-year-old UI student found dead

Akul Dhawan UIUC Death: University of Illinois Police are currently investigating the death of a student discovered on campus Saturday morning.

The student, identified as 18-year-old Akul B. Dhawan, is the subject of the investigation. Both the Champaign County Coroner’s Office and University Police officials have stated that, at present, there is no suspicion of foul play, and the incident is considered an accidental death.

According to police, Dhawan’s roommate raised concerns at 1:23 a.m. on Saturday, reporting him as missing. The roommate mentioned not having seen Dhawan for about an hour and being unable to reach him by phone.
