Troy Edward Obituary; Virginia Beach, The community mourns the loss of Roy Edward Brown, who passed away on January 27, 2024, at the age of 57. Born on November 7, 1966, in Louisville, KY, Roy, known affectionately as Troy, leaves behind a legacy of love, service, and cherished memories. Troy’s familial roles spanned across generations, as he was a beloved son, stepson, brother, father, and grandfather.

His mother Vicki, stepfather Billy, brother Todd (Laura), daughter Katlyn, son Spencer, and grandson Aiden all survive him. George, Troy’s deceased father, left behind a bereaved family.

A man of service, Troy dedicated six years of his life to the United States Air Force, where he served with pride and commitment, contributing to the defense of our nation. His dedication to duty and selfless sacrifice exemplified his character and commitment to a cause greater than himself. I was educated at Princess Anne High School.

Troy graduated in 1984, marking the beginning of a journey that would touch the lives of many. His impact extended far beyond his military and educational achievements; he was known for his kindness, generosity, and unwavering loyalty to those he loved.

“Troy was a great man; his personality will never be repeated and will be sorely missed,” reflects a sentiment shared by those who had the privilege of knowing him. His unique blend of humor, compassion, and resilience left an indelible mark on all who crossed his path. In honor of Troy’s memory, a memorial service will be held on February 24, 2024, at 2 pm at VFW Post #392, located at 2408 Bowland Pkwy, Virginia Beach, VA 23454. The service will provide an opportunity for friends, family, and colleagues to come together, celebrate his life, and bid farewell to a remarkable individual.
