Steven Bloom Obituary: K.B. Shellfish Owner, Steven Bloom, age 61, of Norwalk, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 5, 2023.

Steven Bloom was born in Norwalk, Connecticut on December 29, 1961, Steven was a loving and devoted son, brother, and father. He was predeceased by his parents, Norman and Jeanne Lysobey Bloom.

He is survived by his daughter, Kristen Bloom, of Charlotte, North Carolina; Two brothers, Norman Bloom and his wife Debbie of Norwalk, and Bobby Bloom and his wife Lisa of Norwalk; one sister, Cheryl Ajemian of Lakeland, Florida; his former wife Anne Garfunkel of Norwalk; five nieces and nephews, Randall Bloom and his wife Jennifer, Jimmy Bloom and his wife Kelly, Brandon Bloom and his wife Leanne, Jeanne Bloom and Shannon Bloom as well as several great-nieces and nephews.

Steven graduated from Norwalk High School in 1979 and spent his lifetime pursuing his life’s passion and his family’s legacy, working as an oysterman. He began his career at his family’s company, Talmadge Bros., and later started his own shellfish company K.B. Shellfish. He also worked alongside his brother at Norm Bloom & Son.

Steven was an avid skier, starting at age ten and spending many seasons at Okemo Mountain. He loved the water, boating, and being on Long Island Sound and was a devout member of the South Norwalk Boat Club and Ischoda Yacht Club. Most of all, Steven cherished and lived his life for his daughter, Kristen.

Friends and family are invited to the Norwalk Inn on Friday, December 8th at noon for a Celebration of Life for Steven.
