Leila Arias and Jaidy Alcala died in accident at Rio Grande Care near Lake Edinburg, Texas

Jaidy Alcala Obituary: The two teenagers who passed away in a deadly All-Terrain-Vehicle accident near Lake Edinburg, Texas have been identified. According to the Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Department, officials are investigating a tragic UTV crash that left a 17-year-old and an 18-year-old dead on Sunday, November 26, 2023.

According to the Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Department, the incident happened in the 6400 block of Rio Grande Care in rural Edinburg at approximately 6:50 p.m. Law enforcement agencies say Leila Arias and Jaidy Alcala passed away after the ATV they were in crashed into a canal near Lake Edinburg. Law enforcement agencies located the UTV partially submerged in the canal by the lake with the two teenagers trapped inside.
